Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Maxwell, 92, of Heyworth, passed away at 12:35 A.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Betty Maxwell Memorial Fund c/o First State Bank, Heyworth.
Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Maxwell was born June 15, 1926, in Clinton, IL, to Dennis and Mary Krueger Burns. She married Wayne Maxwell on November 27, 1952, in Peoria, IL. He passed away January 24, 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia (Terry Wise) Prochnow of Heyworth; two granddaughters, Nicole (John Curtis) Prochnow of Heyworth and Brittany (Colby Simonton) Wise of Bloomington; one great-grandchild on the way; two sisters, Patricia Powers of Clinton and Helen (Bob) Haas of Clinton; sister-in-law, Fran Burns of Le Roy; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was an avid BINGO player. She will be deeply missed by all.
